State Fair

We went to the State Fair first thing Friday morning. We were able to see a few kids we know show their pigs. I think I'm glad that we're done watching pigs at the fair until next year. I HATE smelling like that. It's awful! You smell for the rest of the day until you can shower. We were headed on to K.C. after that. We brought a change of clothes and put ours in an air-tight bag for the trip. I still think I can smell pigs though when I get in the Tahoe. We did walk around a bit at the Fair. I wanted to see the butter cow. I remember this cow and barn being so big the last time I was there. I guess it has been quite some time since I've been to the State Fair.

Road Trip

Austin and I went on a road trip to my sister's. My cousin Sarah and baby Bennett were there too along with Justin and Brandi. We had a lot of fun in the pool and playing with all the cousins. My oldest sister celebrated her 37th birthday...holy cow...that's OLD! My sisters both have to have mom's red velvet cake for their birthdays. So Mike made one for her. It was sure tasty! The kids had fun putting candles on Kerri's cake. I think she had two sparkler candles and a '5'.

Couples Shower

On Sunday we had a Couples Baby Shower for Baby G. It was fun to be with our friends on a nice Sunday afternoon. Baby G should be set for his arrival. I think he now has everything he needs! I can't wait to meet the little guy! He and Austin are sure to have tons of fun in the coming years!

County Fair

Brian was one of the Superintendents of the Swine Building again this year at the County Fair. So Austin and I were 'Fair Junkies' for the week. Austin loved the piggies! Brian put him in the show ring and a pig came up and snorted on his tummy. Austin laughed and loved it. Brian said he's sure Austin would have had his arm down the pigs throat if he would have let him. Austin also acquired many new girlfriends at the fair too. He also enjoyed corn dogs, elephant ears and funnel cakes!

So while Brian and Austin were watching the stinky pigs, I went to watch the SwampMaster. This guy was from Florida and insane. He put this wild alligator in his mouth...
