K*H*S* Christmas

This Christmas get together has been going on for a very long time. I'm so happy to be a part of it. It started with the 1st generation of K*H*S's then that generation had kids...

I think these are called the 'adults' now...not sure but that might make the 1st generation...

Now the adults have kids. We all have such a fun time with the gift exchange which turns into lots of stealing, laughing and some pouting. If we all keep having kids we might have to starting renting a place to hold it.

Ornaments

We braved the potential mess and made 'fragrance' ornaments with the boys. I think they had a good time but were ready to play with tractors too!

Austin and 'Baby K-em' has he calls him watching Mickey.

Test is POSITIVE...I think!?

So I took a pregnancy test this morning. I wasn't really sure if I was late enough for it to show up but I had a few extra tests so thought I would try anyway! As Austin was hovering over me in the mudroom bathroom I peed on the stick. It wasn't a dark line but just a faint line instead. You really had to tilt it in the light to see the faint line too, so I considered it a negative and tossed it in the trash. The next morning it was still on my mind so I dug through the trash to take another look. The line was actually darker this time. With Austin I had a low progesterone level so my mind went in overdrive thinking that I had a low level again that's why the line was faint or I was really early in the pregnancy. I called Dr. Dameron's office and they sent me to Bromenn to have a blood test. I didn't have a choice so took Austin with me. Tara and the boys were over and had lunch. I enjoy having them here but didn't think they were going to leave that day. I wanted to get to town so bad but didn't want to tell Tara what I was up to. They left shortly after 1pm and we rushed to town claiming we were taking Brian lunch. When they took my blood, I thought Austin was going to cry. He had a painful look on his face...as did I, I'm sure! I went home feeling very anxious and nervous. We were trying but just wanted to know everything was ok-either way. They didn't call by the afternoon so I went and got a copy of the test from the hospital. I was pretty sure it said I was pregnant. I called to the doctor to check and she said she had the results and yes I was pregnant but my progesterone level was a little bit low again. She also said that I was barely, barely pregnant (maybe 4 weeks). It was actually a 1/2 point higher than it was with Austin. So they called in Prometrium and I went to pick it up on my way home. I started taking it that night. Brian called to check on me and I told him that I was on my way home and hadn't had a chance to look at the paper yet. I really was trying to decide how I was going to tell him. So I walked in the house pretending I was on the phone. I grabbed a black marker and wrote 'pregnant' on it. I gave it to Austin to give to Brian. We were all pretty excited but cautious!! I had to go back in 48 hours to make sure my levels had doubled. So I went back on Friday for another test. They doubled! We decided this time we were going to wait to tell our family. I wanted to tell them right away but Brian wanted to wait until we were 12 weeks. I knew I couldn't wait that long. So I ordered a 'Big Brother' shirt for Austin and had him open it at the Wilder Christmas for everyone to see. Everyone screamed with excitement as Austin tossed it aside. They claimed they knew or suspected! They had all been up to my house to ice cookies the weekend before. I guess I was a little emotional! We wrapped it up again and had him open it when Bob and Deb were over Christmas morning.
