2nd 5K and Impromptu trip to the Pond

Austin and I survived his 2nd 5K in Highland.  My sister was supposed to run with us but she was inured.  It was blazing HOT!



Next up, a nice refreshing swim!

Finley got to practice for her birthday.

I needed to get a picture of Mason for the Ozarks for Deb's wall so I was just going to run him to the pond.  Austin ended up wanting to go so then we all went!

It was a quick but fun little trip down to the pond.

Our 9th Anniversary

Tonight, on our 9th wedding anniversary we took the kids to where we had our first date!

We spoke with a nice elderly couple while waiting...and then our waiter told us that someone had paid for our meal!

Can't wait

Mason can not wait for school to start!

He was so excited to take his supplies and check out the school tonight!

Austin turns 7 and 1st day of 1st grade

Austin didn't seem to be overly bummed that he had to go to school on his birthday.  For once he got to take treats on his birthday rather than celebrating his 1/2 birthday at school!

I can't believe he's in 1st grade!

Couldn't wait for him to get off the bus so I could hear all about his 1st day!

He wasn't a real big fan of the camera!

He couldn't wait to get inside and open his presents!

So excited for his first pair of football cleats...just in time for practice tonight.

Austin is SEVEN

Austin wanted a Cornbelters Baseball party this year.

Austin is our sports kid.  He loves baseball, football and basketball.  He told me that he wants to play soccer too in High School.  LOL

We found him the perfect shirt this year.  It reads: 'It's always a race".  That sums Austin up completely.  He's always racing, exercising, throwing the ball up in the air or shooting hoops.  The kid hardly sits.

He's recently taken up running too.  We enjoyed Run Club and he did awesome in his very 1st 5K.

Danvers Day Parade

The kids are always so excited for the Danver's Day parade.

She makes a good riding partner for Mason...who likes the slower calmer rides!
