Consuming my Summer...

Along with building a house (and all the many, many errands that go along with that), taking pictures, selling UL, trying to do all the 'summer things' I have been wrapped up in these 4 books so far this summer.  I didn't think I would like them since they aren't my typical reading genre but I LOVE them!!  They are so hard to put down.  I've stayed up many late nights enthralled in these books!

Lunch & Swimming at Aunt Jane's

Denise and Mike are in town and Denise invited us over for lunch and swimming. Thank goodness for Nana...the water was too cold for me to get in. So she got in with the boys and they had fun swimming. Aunt Jane has neat landscaping in the backyard so Tara and I caught all 3 'K' cousins together again. I love this picture! To me it looks like it could be found on a greeting card.

Tired boy...

We've been running so much that Austin is tuckered out most days. He's been having a tough time making it to nap time. He played at the Farm all morning while we ran more house errands and fell asleep on the short trip home. I'm beginning to wonder what we will spend our time doing once the house is finished.

Funny, Ryan...

My friend Ryan watched Austin today while Brian and I ran some more new house errands. This is an email I got tonight...

Happy 4th of July!

Happy Independence Day!

We went to my parents house at the Lake to spend the day with the 'W' family. It wasn't the prettiest of days but we made the best of it anyway. Between rain showers we basked in the sun and played in the water. Austin went on a wave runner ride with Papa and loved it.

He also went on a paddle boat ride.

Little Josie worked on her tan too. She's such a good little baby. She just hung out on the dock in the shade while the rest of us swam and played around.

Austin was so brave! He was jumping off the dock all day!
Uncle Clint was counting the day before so the boys could race by saying, '1, 2, 3 GO!' and the boys would take off. So every time Austin jumped he wanted you to count. He would say, '2, 2, tree, GO!' with his index finger raised in the air. He's growing up too quickly!

After Austin would jump in he would swim back to the dock. He's still learning to keep his feet under him. They tend to flip up to the surface with his life jacket on.

Of course the boys had to take a firework break. Austin really got into the things you throw and pop. If they didn't go off when he threw them he would walk around stomping at them.

This is little happy Bennett. He was a delight over the weekend. They stayed with us Thursday night and the boys had fun playing together. He's really growing up too.
