'W' Family Reunion

We've had a very busy few days! {Dad was here staining windows Monday-Wednesday; Sisters & 4 kids came on Thursday-left on Friday; Brian was busy at the fair Wednesday to Saturday}.

After the fair we headed to Pittsfield for a family reunion. It was so nice to all be together. This hasn't happened in YEARS!!

I guess there's always got to be at least 1 crying...I can't believe it...but it was mine this time! This never happens!

Last Day at the Fair

Austin absolutely loved the fair and the farm animals!! He also loved helping his Daddy in the show ring. My boys are so handsome!
My little cowboy! He borrowed our friend Gracie's hat for a quick picture. He's getting to be so big!

One of my new favorites!

The boys watching the Pee-Wee Showmanship. Dalton was able to show this year but Austin wasn't old enough so helped Daddy instead.

More Fair...Truck Pull Night

My sisters are here for a few days so we went out for lunch. Here's a snapshot of 4 of the 5 monkeys!

Sassy

Brian was in the truck pull again this year at the fair. I took this video with my little camera. My favorite part is of Austin cheering for Daddy at the very beginning. Brian's favorite part is of his truck pulling-I'm sure!

Rest in Peace Nana K

Our Nana K passed peacefully this morning at the age of 87. She was a vibrant woman who will be missed my many friends and family. She is survived by 3 sons, 1 daugther, 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She and Papa K have been married for 69 years! This is so amazing and special...it's something that doesn't happen much anymore. She loved to tell stories of her earlier years and spend time with family. A smile would spread widely across her face when I would bring Austin over to visit. Her favorite color was red and this was known by so many. So at the visitation/funeral many of us wore red or accents of red in her memory. Forever and always when I see the color red I will remember Nana K.

For anyone that knows our Nana K has a story of her. I loved hearing all the stories the past few days. There are so many wonderful memeories that we have of her.

We miss you Nana K!

1st Day of Fair and Piggies

Brian was a Superintendent of the Swine Barn again this year. Austin was in hog heaven! He loved being in the show ring with his Daddy and the pigs! This evening there was a noisy tractor pull going on so Dalton would cover his ears and then Austin would try to do the same. He would cover his cheeks instead. It was funny seeing his cheeks all squished together.

Then Papa came to the rescue and covered his ears for him.

Our little neighbor girl, Sara took the boys to check on her pigs. Austin loves playing with Sara. We're so glad they live so close because she makes a great babysitter too!

Man Store

Dad's here helping with the new house and we had to take a break and go to the 'Man's Store' as my Dad called it. I thought this was too cute!

Good Food, Good Friends, Good Times

We had some friends over for dinner tonight. What a great way to end a weekend and start a new week! We ended up all getting in the Gator and heading to the pond. We had no intentions of getting in so didn't take trunks/suits, towels or anything. Austin had other ideas. So what else were we to do but strip him down! Jaiden and Austin had so much fun playing in the water.

What a typical girl/boy scene. The girl watching the boy get all dirty. Jaiden stayed perfectly clean the entire time. Austin on the other hand had sand in places I didn't know existed!

Love the buns!

He tries so hard to pee standing up.

On the way there Jaiden kept trying to get Austin to hold her hand. He wanted no part of that. But finally on the way back-when we were almost home-he gave in. So cute!
