Our Visitors!

Austin had his last soccer game this morning.  Brian stayed with Finley and I over night but headed up at 5 so he could be there when the boys woke up.  He brought the boys up this morning to see Finley and I.  They couldn't wait to hold her!

Finley and Papa Gary Gene...whom she's middle named after.

GG and Nana couldn't wait to shop for pink so after a trip to the mall they stopped by too.

After a much needed nap by all we had a pizza party at the hospital!
They also give each baby a birth day cake.  It was delicious after our Tobin's Pizza!
The boys also brought their new sister a bouquet of pink balloons...and 1 green (for John Deere, of course).

Finley's Birth Day

After our eventful day at Rader's I really thought I would have a baby today!  I don't feel bad, but ready.  I went to the Doctor at 10 this morning and Dr. D. couldn't believe that I was a 6 and 80% thinned.  Exactly where I was at my 39 week appointment with Mason!  She asked what we wanted to do.  I said I want to have a baby!  She said do you want to talk about it or do you really want a baby today?  It was raining out so we knew Brian wouldn't be in the field today or for the next several days.  The timing just seemed right.  So we decided to head to Bromenn at 1pm.  She suggested earlier but I wanted to get do a few things first and put the boys down because I thought it might be a late night for them.  So I headed to the mall with Mason to meet a friend, deliver photos and pick up a baby book.  I was having some pretty good contractions and she was extremely nervous.  haha

I headed home and we had lunch, took my 'Ready to Pop' picture and put the boys down for a nap.  Deb headed over until my parents could get to town.  We ended up having to go to St. Joe's because Bromenn was full.  We finally got checked in close to 2pm.

I could feel my contractions even with an epidural this time.

Much to our disbelief Miss Finley Gene came into our lives shortly after 9pm.  With only 1 1/2 pushes she was here!  We could not believe she was a GIRL and had so much dark hair.  She was absolutely perfect with not a mark on her!

One proud Daddy of a baby girl.

The boys, both sets of grandparents and GG were in the waiting room.  Brian went to get the boys without letting the others know the gender of the baby.  He brought them in and right away Mason could not get enough of her.  He rubbed her cheeks and wanted to kiss on her.  Then Brian took Austin back to let everyone know that he had a new sister.  They were all shocked and thought he was teasing!

Miss Finley was so alert and never cried.  Brian kept asking if she was ok because she wasn't crying!  She is absolutely perfect!

To the Pumpkin Patch

As the baby clock is ticking we had to mark one more thing off our Fall bucket list.  We headed to Rader's to meet up with some friends.  Daddy wasn't in the field this morning so he joined us for a bit.

Mason got up on this horse and was looking for the slot to insert the coin to make it go!!

Pickin' Beans

Austin wanted to ride with Daddy today.
Luckily it was my day to serve lunch...the Elevator took care of that for me today!  The guys headed there for a quick bit to eat.  While we were waiting they were collecting beans and putting them in their pockets...guess where the ultimately ended up...yup...my washer!

Not your typical picnic

It was my day for taking dinner to the field so Mason and I decided to take our dinner and have a picnic with Papa while he waited for his semi to be full.  Nana and Papa ended up stopping by as well and we had enough food for them too!

As we were on our way home we went over the bridge and Brian just happened to turn his lights on.  Perfect timing!

Slow Week!

Today is the start of my 'slow' week that I've had planned for months now.  It's to get everything ready and prepared for baby.  When I was looking at my calendar and anticipating having nothing to do I had to laugh.  We still have (3) school, (2) swim lessons, soccer practice, Awana, soccer game, school Fall Festival, (2) hair appointments, (3) photo sessions, (2) days where I'm in charge of lunch and supper plus editing, and giving my boys my full attention or what's left of it at least.  I have had so many people ask why I'm still taking photos...why not?  I feel great and I'm slowing down on that end in case I do go into labor.  It truly helps time pass much more quickly!  I love taking photos so much that I'm sad it's slowing down.  It's so hard to turn people away but I know I will be thankful I did when this new precious baby arrives.  We are getting so excited!  We can't wait to see what it looks like, what it is and the final name it gets.  We have been talking about different scenarios of when/where/how I might go into labor.  We thought at first it would be close if I made it to October.  My goal is October 1st.  I told Brian it's because I like the sound of October vs September.  He thinks I'm crazy but he prefers October as well.  October means closer to getting all the crops out for him!  I went 7 and 11 days early with the first 2.  I think we all assume I'll go early this time too.  I have a feeling that since I'm holding on to October 1st so tightly that it will come and go with no baby...as will the 5th and maybe even the 10th.  By then I think this crazy patience I have will be long gone and we will all be ready for the baby to be here!  As for now, I'll sit (haha) or I mean be on the run and enjoy the last swift heel kicks to my ribs and the multiple late night bathroom trips for a little longer.  The weather has been amazing!  Although my kids are probably ice cubes in the backseat...I'm still enjoying my air conditioned seats and thermostat set on 60 in my car...it's been about 65 outside!  I've also been making more frequent trips to Brian's side of the closet for a long sleeve shirt.  I'm not styling these days but man am I cool and comfortable!

It's a waiting game!

Mason and I were waiting around this afternoon.  I had a photo session and Austin was in the combine.  Mason got to ride to the elevator and back a time or two with Papa.  He loves it!
